Worry Wart

A couple of weeks ago, my wonderful, talented friend Lisa of Grandma's Briefs asked, "What's one thing you used to worry about that you no longer do?"

My response (in the comments) was, "Does there really come a time when I can stop worrying about something? I look forward to that day. I'm a chronic worrier. I even worry that I worry too much."

Which brings us to this "Heart of the City" comic strip:

I'm beginning to think every aspect of my life can be related to one of three things: (1) comic strips, (2) reruns of "Friends" or (3) an episode of "The Simpsons."

And you know, it worries me.

Two Big Days Left

I'm thisclose to finishing an entire month of posting every single day. I feel like tomorrow has to be the Big Finale. So today, you're getting a Big ... giggle (from "F Minus").

Well, it made me giggle anyway.

Big Kid Ideas

I have mentioned before my love for the comic strip "Cul de Sac." It's cute but not too cutesy. And I'm pretty sure the little girl in it is the child I should have had.

A kid that likes the sound of a post-apocalyptic landscape is my kind of kid. I also like to think I'd be like the mom here -- just taking it all in stride.

My thoughts exactly

Mutts by Patrick McDonnell

Although it does look like we might get an actual, honest-to-goodness, real white Christmas for once, so maybe it's not such a bad thing. I can stay in, drink hot cocoa, read, have some of the chili I made yesterday. Maybe not a bad thing at all ....

until I have to go out in it later. Please don't make me go out in it later.

And now for some real controversy

And to wash the angry out of my mouth ...

It's true. They are.

If there's something strange in your neighborhood

Today's "Get Fuzzy" gives a nod to "Ghost Hunters" while poking a little fun at the same time.

Here are Jason and Grant from "Ghost Hunters."

A pretty good likeness. But they're from TAPS (not ARSE).

I love both "Get Fuzzy" and "Ghost Hunters." So I was pretty excited by this. Yes, I am quite easily amused. Why do you ask?

Good news: The zombies are still hiring!

.
From today's Cul de Sac:

I discovered this little gem of a comic strip a couple of months ago. It's weird sometimes but it almost always makes me laugh. I think there's a little preschooler in all of us.

The zombie reference is just an added bonus.

Why I need a hippo

Apparently their arms are quite comforting.
